A first booking with the house
A first booking is any client's initial session with the house; it carries a deposit of half the fee whatever its length and however soon it starts.
Every client books a first time once, and on this site that first booking has one fixed feature: half the fee is paid ahead, whatever the length and whatever the hour. For visitors on a first trip to Amsterdam this is almost always the case, since the city and the house are both new to them.
Why a first booking carries a deposit
A first booking is the one where neither side has any history to go on. The deposit makes the commitment mutual: she keeps an hour free for someone she has never met, and the client confirms that the hour is wanted. One hour at EUR 180 is confirmed with EUR 90, ninety minutes at EUR 270 with EUR 135, two hours at EUR 360 with EUR 180.
What a first booking includes
Nothing is different in the room. The therapist decides what a session includes and explains her limits in her own words when she arrives, exactly as she would with a guest she knows. A first booking does not need to be long or elaborate; many first-time visitors choose ninety minutes of a slow oil format.
After the first
Once the house knows you, one kind of booking becomes deposit-free: a same-day hour or two at an address inside the city, paid in full on arrival. Anything else still carries half ahead, as the booking terms explain.
