Massage by two practitioners working together is old. In the Ayurvedic tradition of India, the full-body oil massage called abhyanga has long been given by two therapists moving in synchrony, and the modern four hand format borrows that idea of mirrored, simultaneous strokes.

The technique

The session opens with synchronised strokes, both therapists mirroring each other on either side of the body. It then moves to independent work, one on the upper body and one on the lower, or both on one area from different angles. Oil is used throughout.

What to expect

The two therapists arrive together and set up the room between them, towels over the bed and oil warmed. They begin in synchrony, one on each side, working the back and legs with mirrored strokes, then move independently so that the attention is never in one place for long. Can I choose both therapists?

Yes. Name two from the roster and the reply will say whether their hours line up. If they do not, it says which of the two is free and when, and you decide from there.

Why does it need more notice?

Because two women's hours have to coincide, and each keeps her own schedule. A same-evening request is possible but less certain than one made the day before.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Every booking with two therapists is confirmed with half the fee in advance, so an hour at EUR 360 means EUR 180 ahead.
